Kevin Flanagan, from Dahlonega, GA, joined the West Point Band in the spring of 2023. He received a Bachelor of Arts in Music degree from the University of North Georgia and a Master of Instrumental Performance degree from the University of Miami, Frost School of Music where he served as a graduate teaching assistant and a Henry Mancini Institute fellow. Kevin’s primary teachers are Adam Frey and Aaron Tindall.
Kevin has a varied performing background. As an orchestral tubist, he has performed with the New World Symphony and the Naple Philharmonic. As a soloist, he was named a silver medalist at the 2022 Leonard Falcone International Euphonium and Tuba Festival and has been a prize winner at numerous tuba-euphonium competitions.
In his free time, Flanagan enjoys the plethora of hiking opportunities available in the Hudson Valley, fishing, cooking, and spending time with his friends and family.
