Nicholas Matheos, also known as Nick Matheos, is a talented composer and performer. He is a bass trombonist, contrabass trombonist, and composer, with a passion for creating music that spans a wide range of styles. Nicholas J. Matheos was born in Moscow Russia and is currently a resident of Ohio.

As a composer, Nicholas Matheos utilizes his extensive musical knowledge and skills to craft captivating compositions. His music showcases his ability to blend different genres and create unique musical experiences. Whether it’s classical, jazz, or contemporary, Nicholas Matheos’s compositions are known for their creativity, depth, and difficult intertwining lines of counterpoint.

In addition to his work as a composer, Nicholas Matheos is an accomplished trombonist. He has studied bass trombone performance and has performed as a principal bass trombonist in a great deal of orchestras and other ensembles. He is currently the principal bass trombonist of the Cleveland Repertory Orchestra, the Suburban Symphony Orchestra, Cinematic Symphony Orchestra, and the Video Game Symphony. Nick has also subbed for other orchestras. He has performed at the Ohio Renaissance Theatre for the official traveling Broadway stage production of “Hello, Dolly!” and has been in many other pit orchestras. He is also a member of the American Music Federation.

Beyond his musical pursuits, Nicholas Matheos has also been a music teacher and has been a lead teacher at Salvation Army in Akron & Summit County, Ohio. His passion for music extends to teaching and inspiring others to explore their own musical talents.  Overall, Nicholas Matheos is a multifaceted artist who continues to make significant contributions to the world of music.
