Stalin Rivadeneyra has had a long musical career that began in 1985 playing the trombone since Middle School in Perú. After graduating from high school, Stalin began his musical career at the National Conservatory of Music in Lima-Peru (1991) playing in the Symphonic Band and the Big Band of Miraflores.
During the 1990s, Stalin performed with famous salsa artists in Peru such as Antonio Cartagena, Willy Rivera, Perú Salsa all Stars, Orquesta Camagüey among others.
In 1999 he moved to New York and took trombone lessons with Juan Pablo Torres, Bob Ferrel and attended seminars with Joseph Alessi, Slide Hampton and Dave Taylor. Stalin began freelancing professionally in the salsa and the latin music genre after studying, performing and being mentored by Pablo Santaella.
In January 2001, he met Isidro Infante Music producer and winner of numerous Latin Grammy Awards, arranger, pianist and musical director of Ritmo Mundo Musical (RMM), one of the most important record labels in the Latin industry during the late 80s and throughout the 90s, as well as a film company, nightclubs and restaurants and joined the orchestra, while playing with the RMM Orchestra, Stalin had the opportunity to perform with most famous artists of the Latin industry such as Celia Cruz, La India, Thalia, Natalia Jimenez, Gloria Trevi, Luis Fonsi, José Ricardo Montaner, Alejandro Sanz,José Feliciano, David Bisbal, Don Omar, Rubèn Blades, Ismael Miranda, Cheo Feliciano, Richie Ray and Bobby Cruz. Choco Orta, Andy Montañez, Willie Gonzales, Rey Ruiz, Lalo Rodriguez, Joe Arroyo, Willy Colón, José Alberto “El Canario”, El Cano Estremera, Nino Segarra, Eddie Santiago, Héctor Tricoche, Marvin Santiago, Fruko, Joe Arroyo among many others famous Artists.
Stalin has performed at the most prestigious theaters and arenas such as the Madison Square Garden, Mohegan Sun,Radio City Music Hall, Barclays Center,New Jersey Performing Arts Center NJPAC, The Chicago Theatre, The United Palace Theatre and The Ritz Theatre.
Since 1991 until now, Stalin has been working with the most popular salsa artists from Perú, Colombia, Venezuela, Panamá, Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic and New York.
Stalin has taken his talents to many other countries around the world such as Perú, Chile, Argentina, Uruguay, Bolivia, Ecuador, Colombia, Venezuela, Panamá, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, United States, Germany and Italy. Stalin is currently about to release his third musical production with his own musical group called Varanda Orquesta, which will be available on all digital platforms and social media, musical production that will be entered for consideration of the Latin Grammys Academy.
