Pedro Luis Marcano González is the third of four brothers. He grew up in a very loving family. Music was always present at a very early age in his life. Since his father was a music teacher and had a Christian salsa orchestra, Pedro and his siblings were always surrounded by music. At the age of 6 Pedro started taking percussion classes and then he was part of his father’s orchestra playing drums. Then at the age of 11 he entered the Libre De Música de San Juan school, there he continued studies in percussion, but Pedro always was curios of playing trumpet.
It wasn’t until Pedro was in 8th grade that he started taking trumpet classes at the same school. That’s when he fell in love with that instrument and made it his main focus. At the age of 14 Pedro began to have experiences as trumpet players in his father’s orchestra and different local bands and at the age of 15 Pedro had his first professional experience with the Puerto Rican Power Orchestra where he travelled to many countries. After that experience Pedro began to have many experiences with different artists such as: Bad Bunnyy, Carlos Rivera, Gilberto Santa Rosa, René Calle 13, Tony Tun Tun, Elvis Crespo, Toño Rosario, Jerry Rivera, N’klabe, NG2, Luis Enrique, Son By Four, Grupo Manía, Víctor Manuelle, Olga Tañon, Tito El Bambino, Daddy Yankee, Hector El Father, Wisin y Yandel, Limi-T 21, Rakim and Ken-y, Johnny Ventura, Pedro Capó, Ednita Nazario, José Alberto “El Canario”, Tito Nieves, Yan Collazo, Plenealo, Manny Manuel, Grupo Karis, Luis Vazquez, Grupo Mayombe, among others, whom he have also has had the blessing of participating in their albums.
Pedro is currently an artist for Denis Wick and Mandala Trumpet brands along having a great career as a musician. Pedro’s motivation is his family, his beautiful wife, daughter and 3 sons are his true inspiration, and he hope’s they continue to be proud of him.
